Riches
Provision for the children of God Comes from His throne on high,
Our heavenly Father, the mighty King Wants to be our supply.
His wish is for us to prosper To “prosper and be in good health”,
His greatest example was Solomon To whom He gave great wealth.
You see, it was not riches That Solomon was searching for,
But wisdom to rule His people And rightly interpret the law.
God said that He would give us All things that we need,
The only problem is my friend We are filled with greed.
Our foolish hearts are darkened And it seems that we,
Only care about ourselves And not our brother’s need.
So ‘till we learn that money Is only a means to an end,
We will never have it In abundance for us to spend.
He gives to those who give it away And takes from those who keep
Because it follows His holy law That “what you sow you reap”
His supply is never ending You can’t outgive the Lord,
So give my friend, to those in need And riches will be your reward.
