Heart Cry
My heart cries out to you oh Lord, In praise and adoration,
For your mercy and your kindness, Your loving consolation.
Like the aroma of sweet incense, Wafting through the air,
You permeate my being, So I never taste despair.
When everything seems dark and bleak, And storm clouds drift my way,
I must recall your actions Lord, And simply tell them STAY!
You are my secure place, My secret little nook,
You are my peaceful solitude My meadow with a brook.
You release in me such freedom, To frolic through the moor,
To dance and play, to laugh and sway, Or approach the very door,
Of heavens portals, To see your glorious grace,
To enter in on holy ground, To see you face to face.
To walk the path beside you Lord, And feel the morning air,
Or to feel your tender touch, As you wipe away my tear.
I’ve learned to trust regardless, Of what I see or hear,
And know that just abiding, Means a lack of fear.
To walk the way that you walked, To feel your heartfelt pain,
I know it will be worth it all, Just to trust in Jesus name.
