The Warrior
The winds of war are raging, in our peaceful town,
People are taken captive without the slightest sound.
The sentries all are sleeping as death creeps to the door,
The soldiers are out of armor as if there were no war.
Is everyone so blind that they cannot see,
This death and destruction is from the enemy?
I scream, ”My God awake them before it is too late,
Someone sound the trumpet, someone close the gate.
But it seems there is a veil that grips our mighty land,
The veil is called indifference no one will take a stand.
If no one else will fight with me, then I will fight alone,
I’ll close the gate, I’ll raise the flag, and fight till I’m called home.
I’ll not cease to warn them, and war with all my might,
For if I save a soul from death, it will be worth the fight.
