Your Smile
Though the day be dark and drear
And dark clouds hover o’er,
The drizzling rain seems ne’er to cease
And all my countenance doth lower.
Then I recall your smiling face
As the sun in all it’s shinings,
My spirits rise as I see
Clouds do have silver linings.
When you smile on me dear Lord
You brighten any day,
Your love for me knows no bounds
It’s a debt I can’t repay.
So I will bask in all your love
Knowing all the while,
No matter what the day looks like
I’ll return your smile.
