The Night of Nights
The air was chilled, so crisp and clean
As the young couple made their way,
Down the slopes to Bethlehem
That oh most glorious day;
Little did they know the impact
Their simple lives would reveal,
That what was about to happen
Only eternity will tell;
With a tiny life within her womb
Struggling to be free
Little did they know that day
He'd change the course of history!
Now centuries have come and gone
Since that time long past
But it's influence on our lives
Will forever last!
The little child born that day
In a manger dim
Will forever cleanse our souls
And free us from our sin.
Jesus was the name they gave
To their baby boy,
And it's Jesus that can save your soul
And turn back Satan's ploy.
So, at this lovely time of year
As joy fills the earth,
Let our hearts ring out with love
And praise God for Jesus' birth!
